USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN COMMUNICATION

In a more traditional society, the best way to communicate with each other would be through face to face contact. This means meeting up with friends or going to your favorite meet up spot. But, the world is constantly evolving and so is technology.
Using technology in communication has become a necessity, it’s now part of our lives. People communicate through emails, faxes, Mobile phones, texting services, video conferences, video chat rooms and social media channels. As time goes on, more emerging technologies will change the way we communicate and it will be up to us to embrace them or not.

Use of digital networks:- Broadband and satellite transmissions enable efficient business communications through office phones or sending a file to a specific printer when you are miles away from the office.

Easy Product Launch:- Surveys are very important. They give companies feedback on the customers view on the products or services provided. Before the advancement of business technologies, surveys were very hard to conduct.

Video Conferencing:- Allows long distant one-on-one communication among members of an organization or business. Video conferencing can be used in the business meeting.

Social interaction:- Social network platforms have caused a 360 degrees shift in the way we interact. Through platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter among others users can communicate through comments, likes or even their profiles and status.

Communication is a core element to society's foundation. Communication is used in families, amongst friends, in schools, and in government. The advancement of technology has helped to advance the ways in which we communicate with each other. One way technology has advanced communication is through the birth of electronic communication devices. Cell phones, social networking websites, email, and faxes are a few examples of electronic communication devices.

"Maintaining Viewership when Existing Monopolies No Longer Hold"

Media today is the most visible platform and medium that not only disseminates information and news but increasingly is creating news. It has indeed become an essential component of the human life and lifestyle; for societies, governments, lawmakers, police force, states and neighboring countries and the international community are all today, only as good as what they know and when they know it. In the 4th industrial revolution that is currently underway in our world, the center of gravity is the hearts and minds of the populations, and media is the conduit to reaching the populations.

The revolution is perhaps most visible in a thriving, argumentative and messy democracy as ours, where the media as an entity, is essentially anything and everything one reads, sees or hears in our collective conscious public discourse. From the national newspapers and television debates to the vernacular print and digital media content to the millions of whatsapp and social media messages that have penetrated our fields, our factories and our homes; we are a nation where media is everywhere , all of the time.

The phenomena is perhaps most strikingly visible on our evening television newsrooms and our whatsapp enabled mobile phones. With 877 permitted media channel; 99,660 newspapers and periodicals; and innumerable internet based social media technologies; all in competitions with one another, the battle over the hearts and minds of the populations rages... and that is the challenge before the media today.

The surge in the multiplicity of media entities and platforms, in one medium or another has created intense cutthroat competition, with the viewership of a 1.3 billion peoples being the market everyone wants. The challenge is no longer to disseminate information an accurate manner. That is no longer enough. The challenge now is to remain relevant as a credible source of news in the hearts and minds of the populations.

Difference between Culture and Tradition

When we learn about some nation’s culture, we can get a glimpse into its past, understand certain things about the people and at least get a general idea about what we can expect from an individual that belongs to this nation based on how close they are to their own culture. However, the latter also leads to the creation of stereotypes, when a person is expected to do something or like something based solely on their belonging to a certain nation/group.

The first key difference between the two terms is that actual set of things that each describes. Tradition would describe a belief or behavior.  Culture, on the other hand, is a term that is not just limited to beliefs and behaviors, though they are included. It also includes knowledge, art, morals, law, customs, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by man as a member of society.

Tradition and custom have interchangeable and generalized meanings. "It's always been my custom to wipe my feet before entering someone else's house...". "Traditionally, the polls are crowded early but this Thursday, rain kept eager voters at bay...". Tradition, in the traditional (general historic) sense, means the way things have generally been done over history. "We keep with our traditions..." means we do things the way they have been done since anyone can remember. Commencement is a tradition. Breaking glasses at a Jewish wedding is a tradition.

The main thing to understand here is custom is something’s which a society practice , tradition is something which a society carry on , and culture is the behavior which defines a particular society traits.

Dialogue Writing

Written dialogue (as opposed to spoken conversation) is challenging in part because the reader does not have auditory clues for understanding tone. The subtle shades of spoken conversation have to be shaded in using descriptive language.

KEEP IT TIGHT
One of the biggest rules in dialogue is: no spare parts. No unnecessary words. Nothing to excess.
That’s true in all writing, of course, but it has a particular acuteness (I don’t know why) when it comes to dialogue.
If you include an unnecessary sentence or two in a passage of description – well, it’s best to avoid that, of course, but, aside from registering a minor and temporary slowing, most readers won’t notice or care.
DIALOGUE SHOULD BE IN CONFLICT
It’s obvious, really…
Just as a scene about two young lovers spending a perfect day out at the zoo doesn’t constitute a plot (not unless the girl falls in the lion enclosure), so two people chatting about nothing much at all – and not disagreeing, either – doesn’t constitute gripping dialogue.

KEEP YOUR DIALOGUE CONCISE

If you take just one thing away from this article, let it be this…
To write good dialogue, cut it to the bone, and preferably to the marrow. Never use ten words when five words will do. And if you can get the job done in three words – or even with a simple gesture like a shrug – so much the better.

DIALOGUE CAN BE “TOLD,” NOT JUST “SHOWN”

Shown dialogue is where you write down what the characters say, word for word, and put the speech inside quotation marks.
Told dialogue is where you summarize a conversation using regular prose.
