News and Radio Journalism in the Digital Age

The printed press is re configuring itself every day, mainly because of the appearance of the digital sector. Beyond the changes brought about by digital technology, questions are frequently asked around the significance of the printed press.
Radio, sound communication by radio waves usually through the transmission of music, news, and other types of programs from single broadcast station to multitudes of individuals listeners equipped with radio receivers.

Digital-age impact on Radio, Broadcast and Print media

The unfortunate in trend in all this: Newspapers have struggled to make money as they have attracted fewer and fewer readers, especially among young adults. Social media is their preference, and bloggers get a lot of attention from millions of people.
Newspapers have attracted readers to their Web sites, but magnetization is an issue.

Today’s radio landscape is operated by massive media conglomerates like I Heart Media, which alone owns over 800 radio stations across the country. Radio journalism can be found in public media stations around the country that still offer local reports on the radio.

Like their newspaper cousins, magazines have seen their share of decline. According to a Pew Research Center study from 2015, sales of newsstand copies fell 14 percent in 2014. Like the newspaper industry that has seen its biggest names weather declines well, the magazine industry’s biggest names have weathered the storm as well.
