What is online conferences?
Online conferences are more closely aligned to
professional conferences. They usually cover a broad subject matter – for
instance, blogging, education, or medicine – and then delve deeper with
individual workshops and programs.
Virtual event" can also refer to aspects of an event
that are brought to users through an online experience. This can range from
live-streaming the event, to creating on-demand video content for users to view
after the conclusion of the event.
Like in-person professional conferences, online conferences
are education-building resources packed with sessions, interviews, panel
discussions, and sometimes social media events. They’re typically geared toward
a certain field or subject matter, and they’re often priced at a rate equal to
or less than in-person professional equivalents.
Online conferences are virtual, which means you can access
them from anywhere – as long as you have an Internet connection. However, they
are not yet an accepted standard.
Its benefits
Easy and cost effective for organizers and participants.
The main cost associated with a virtual conference is that of producing the
content for the conference and delivering such content in an engaging and
interactive way.
Anywhere, anytime. People can attend virtual
events from anywhere in the world, and if they can’t make the live event, they
can still benefit from the VOD content later. All you need in order to attend
is a connected device and decent Internet connection.
Networking made easy. Attendance of a physical conference often need to scour exhibition rooms and corridors searching for name tags and tracking down industry leaders with whom they want to speak.
