Advertising started thousand of years ago. In the beginning, it was very simple. Advertisers put sign boards in front of their shops or sent cries to the main squares to let people know about the availability of products.
In addition to the variety of advertising, we also see different types of advertisements. In case of newspaper and magazines there are three types of advertisements.
1- Classified Ads
These are most simplest of advertisements. These ads give only the information in a simple, Direct manner. Such ads are very small in size, use simple type faces and no visuals & color.
2- Classified Display Ads
Most of the classified ads are clustered tightly on newspapers and magazines pages. And it is not always easy to find particular ads from this clutter. So advertisers try to add some elements of display into such ads.
3- Display Ads
Display ads being highly attractive, draw the readers attention. The language used is often highly persuasive. These ads are the mush more Costlier than classified and display classified ads.
