Anchors are the face of any news channel.
We know the name of the channel because of the anchor. In the age of Digital
media, clips of anchoring become viral. In this blog, we will know about some
top anchors of the media industry. Also, we will try to understand the process
of becoming an anchor and how can you pursue your career in anchoring. We have
compiled a list of four anchors as per their face value. From last some days,
the way of journalism is being questioned of some anchors. We will discuss that
in some other blog.
Top News Anchors:
Anjana Om Kashyap: Anjana Om Kashyap is an Indian journalist and anchor. She is an
executive editor of the Hindi news channel Aaj Tak. Anjana's first job was as a
counselor at the Daewoo Motors; however, she did not like the job and resigned
after about a year Then joined an NGO in the roles of a legal counselor, for
slum-dwellers. She has completed her study from one of the best journalismcolleges in Delhi i.e., Jamia Milia Islamia. After some ups and downs in
starting of her career, she settled herself and made a name in the world of
Journalism.
Ravish Kumar: Ravish Kumar is an Indian journalist, author, and media
personality. He is the Managing Editor of NDTV India, the Hindi news channel of
the NDTV news network and hosts a number of programs including the channel's
flagship weekday show Prime Time, Hum Log and Ravish Ki Report. Ravish has done
Post Graduate Diploma in Hindi Journalism from one of the Top best MassMadia institute in Delhi i.e., IIMC.
Arnab Goswami: Arnab Ranjan Goswami is an Indian journalist and television news
anchor, who is the editor and majority owner of the news channel Republic TV.
He is also president of the News Broadcasting Association's governing board.
Arnab is not a Mass Communication graduate and he didn't pursue a degree from
any Media college in Delhi. He is graduate from Hindu College in
Sociology Hons
Rajdeep Sardesai: Rajdeep Sardesai is an Indian news anchor, author. He is a
consulting editor at the India Today group and hosts the 9:00 p.m prime time
show on India Today Television. He was the Editor-in-Chief of Global Broadcast
News, which included CNN-IBN, IBN7, and IBN-Lokmat; he resigned in July 2014.
Rajdeep too didn't do any Journalism course in Delhi or from anywhere
else.
